Our MISSION is to assist individuals with the learning process by earning a High School Equivalency diploma by taking the TASC (Test Assessing Secondary Completion) test.

TASC (Test Assessing Secondary Completion)

(Formerly the GED Preparation & GED Test)

Beginning in January of 2014, the Indiana High School Equivalency Diploma will be based on the completion of a comprehensive test developed by CTB/McGraw-Hill instead of the GED tests from GED Testing Service which is now referred to as the TASC (Test Assessing Secondary Completion) Test.  Our TASC preparation classes are designed for students to learn from their current knowledge to a point where passing the TASC Test the first time is a reasonable goal.  This will enable students to be better prepared to take the test with our program.

 Click on
"Test Prep"  for the current Winter/Spring 2014 schedule.

(TASC Preparation Classes are NOT required prior to taking the TASC Test.)

Community Education

For over 30 years, Merrillville's Community Education programs have provided life-long learning classes and job enhancement opportunities to the surrounding communities.  Unfortunately, the program will no longer be offered through the Corporation.  In the event you had taken classes and wish to continue, please contact the individual instructors concerning independent offering and opportunities.
