FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.      What do I do if I’ve forgotten my password?

If you do not remember your password go to Employee Access, enter your username and click "forgot password".  After answering a security question a temporary password will be sent to the email address you entered when you created your account.

2.       I received a “contact system administrator” message.  What do I do?

If you received this message, more than likely you have disabled your account.  This happens when you have tried to log on incorrectly.  Any questions regarding your Employee Access account (activation code or otherwise) must be emailed to employeeaccess@mvsc.k12.in.us.

3.       How do I access my Employee Access account if I don’t have a computer at home?

If you do not have access to a computer, one will be available in each of the schools, in the transportation area, and at the central office.

4.      My activation code is older than 30 days.  What do I do?

Any questions regarding your Employee Access account (activation code or otherwise) must be emailed to employeeaccess@mvsc.k12.in.us.  The email address can also be found in the global listings of the Corporation’s email addresses.

5.       Do I need my activation code once I have created my account?

No.  You will only need this one-time activation code to set up your Employee Access account.  Your activation code will remain active for 30 days.  The next time you logon to Employee Access you will only enter the username and password you created into the appropriate boxes.

6.       I do not have an email address.  What do I do?

If you do not currently have a school or a personal email account, please create one on any of the various free email sites (for example, Yahoo, Google, Hotmail, etc.).

7.       What is the difference between current, balance and YTD leave?

Current:  The number of days used during the most recent pay period you were paid for.

Balance:  The number of days available for use.  This number has been updated to include the most recent pay period you were paid for.  If you have used leave days after the end date of the last pay period they are not included in this total.

YTD:  The number of days used this calendar year.  This number has been updated to include the most recent pay period you were paid for.

8.       Can I access my W-2 from Employee Access?

Yes.  After you have logged on and clicked on your name you can click the “Forms” tab.  At this time you can print your 2011 and 2012 W-2 forms.

9.       Can I see what exemptions I am claiming on my taxes?

Yes.  After you have logged on and clicked on your name you can click the “W-4” tab.  You can see the number of exemptions and any extra amount you are claiming for your Federal and State taxes.  You can also see the county for which you are being taxed.

10.    Can I submit a new W-4 from Employee Access?

Yes.  After you have logged on and clicked on your name you can click the “Forms” tab.  You can complete and submit a new W-4 for your tax exemptions.  At this time, name changes on a W-4 can’t be made electronically.  Should you need to change your name please contact the payroll department.

If, after a reasonable amount of effort, you still find you are having trouble with your Employee Access account you can make an appointment to come to Central Office and someone will assist you.  Due to time constraints please do not come in for help without first making an appointment.
